Stephen was born in Sydney, Australia, and worked in the Architectural Design, Performing Arts and Health Science fields before concentrating on writing.

During this time, exposure to a variety of personalities and business practices, provided a rich source of inspiration for his writing. As a drama graduate of the University of New South Wales, he has written for screen and theatre.

Travelling extensively in Europe, Asia, Egypt, Canada and the USA, furnished him with further material, and genealogical research uncovered a multitude of colourful ancestors. Once the information was gathered, ideas for novels and plays developed. Investigating European mystical traditions in places like Prague and Bologna contributed to material on chirology, astrology and cartomancy, adding to his collection of ancient works.

The spiritualist movements in 19th Century England and America also feature in his research. A deep interest in the esoteric led Stephen to explore various cultures and beliefs, spiritual organizations, and new age philosophies, both in Europe and Asia.

Karmic connections feature heavily in his writing, and his characters develop as a result of their interactions with others.

He believes time changes nothing, with the same power struggles, egotism and destructive attitudes passing through the centuries. Watching people resolve their issues with others is uplifting, overshadowing the negativity of those continuing to plague humanity.
